Actually, I answered all this over a year ago. Please reread the threads from then.

To restate some of the major points:

(1) If you have a 'pride of ownership' in your own submissions, you are missing the point of Bitzi, which is to have the most accurate information most prominent. If having your work revised/replaced/demoted is psychically damaging, don't contribute. I won't mind.

(2) On many of the examples you have been so angry about, I actually prefer Erakun's filenames. (In particular, on the link you have again boringly provided, it's better than Supanova's.) Neither of them are great filenames; filenames shouldn't be long rambling sentences. But I understand that with no other prominent place to put urgent warnings, filename is being used that way. It's one of the problems with the current system.

(3) The current tagging/voting system doesn't work well. It encourages silly arguments like the one between you and Erakun. Someday it will be replaced. In the meantime, it is what it is; people who want to help Bitzi will do the best possible within its constraints, and not obsess over its weaknesses.

(4) If you find this situation discouraging, and do not want to participate, please stop participating, This includes not participating on the forums.

None of the old examples of things you are angry about are going to be changed until an all-new system is in place. Every rant you post steals my time from the development of the new system.

Seriously, since you are unhappy, please "abandon Bitzi". It will help Bitzi improve. Check back once every few months, maybe you'll see improvements you like, maybe not. But if not, the right approach is "keep waiting", not "repeat the same complaints from early 2008 again and again and again".
