Thanks for responding. I have some new ideas that the page doesn't present, so I'll try to answer your first question and then an explanation of the new concepts will hopefuly answer the rest(or raise 100 more :)).
would this be a new website? Leafblower? Or would be in the Shareaza program?
I would have to say none of the above. I see it as a utility to be used along with magnet weblinking by anyone on a website or on a message board etc. The goal is to quickly connect known sources, complete or partial to take advantage of multisource downloading. Download sources can be directly added to these link which is part of the MAGNET URI protocal, and your right, this not secure or anonymous. It's up to the group or individual to decide when it is appropriate to use this type of linking. I'm more interested in exploring other methods of quickly finding sources while still protecting their privacy.

The old idea was for the LeafBlower utility(run by the file releaser) to keep track of sources that are online and every few minutes see who their current Ultrapeer neighbors are(available through a Shareaza node's statistics page). The top 10(based on uptime stat)Ultrapeers would be listed next to the MAGNET link as gnutella:host links. Because these links are updated every few minutes chances are most of these hosts are still connected to the file sharer.

The new idea is for the file releaser to post 2 links. The first is the magnet link for the file and the second is a special gnutella:host link. The host link connects you to a "fake" gnutella node(it's actualy the LeafBlower). As soon as you connect(using Shareaza of course) and query this node for a file it's watching for(with find more sources...) it adds you to a list of future sources and returns all the other online sources it knows of. So now there is just the two links, which don't require constant updating, and you can cut all the "add me as a source" complication.

Thanx again, still looking for more suggestions/sollutions.
