| we can come up for a new format to store, integrity to music cd's and dvd's. i know their is a growing tendency for cd's to get scratched or broken, and people are all concerned if their cd is in good shape. why not make the bitcollider calculate md5 or whatever checksum just to make sure the user's cd is still in good shape and send it in 2 bitzi. then he can know when he is playing his cd that it is still like brand new. i know the application requires great modifications to bitzi and bitcollider, but this can also show where bitzi can go. and the types of applications we can use bitcollider.

| I like this concept but.... Ripping a music CD is a tricky process and it's not trivial to get an identical rip. Even if you have a CD in perfect condition, pulling the data off in the exact same digital format every time... You might think it is trivially easy since a music CD is "digital" but it is not. Do some reading on the Internet and you will be amazed. Here's one USENET thread in particular that you may find educational. http://groups.google.com/group/rec.music.gdead/browse_thread/thread/cd989166b7633d23/12785dafb9fa114e?lnk=gst&q=&rnum=12
